Welcome to Cook County North Shore Hospital Laboratory. As a department of CCNSH, we are here to serve you. Feel free to call us during business hours to assist you with your lab testing needs. As part of CCNSH, we are dedicated to the Hospital's Mission Statement, as well as its core values.

Our experienced staff of Lab Professionals provides services to the ER, Hospital, Outpatients, and Care Center. Using current, modern technology, we perform routine and STAT testing in chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology, and transfusion services. CCNSH undergoes annual inspections by the College of American Pathologists and is accredited as a quality laboratory.

What to Bring with You

Please bring your outpatient referral to the Hospital Reception Desk to register for laboratory services. The referral must include your legal name, date of birth, tests requested, physician's name and signature, diagnosis, and contact information for out-of-town physicians (phone and fax number).

Hours of Operation

CCNSH Laboratory is operational 24/7. Normal Outpatient Hours are 8am-5pm M-F and 8am-Noon on Saturday. Please note that staffing is limited after 4:30pm M-F and on the weekends. We ask that any special needs you may have during those times be scheduled in advance to assure timely service and the best possible care for you, our patient.
